Alex Postpischil has been with Twin City Volleyball Academy (TCVA) since the club started. Alex has coached various levels for almost 30 years. During the 2020-2022 academic years he coached in Vermont at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon while attending to his father’s estate. In Fall 2022 he returned to NC and coached some clinics for TCVA.
His prior collegiate experiences are:
- Assistant coach at Piedmont International University (now Carolina University)
- National Christian College Athletic Association Southern Region champs and National Championship Tournament participant (2018)
- Assistant coach at Winston-Salem State University
- CIAA champs & NCAA Tourney participant 2015, and 2017.
- 95-57 overall record (65-11 CIAA)(2013-2018)
- Assistant Coach at Salem College
- GSAC champs and NCAA Tournament participant (2012)
- Also coached at UNCG, Creighton, and Maryland, and been a summer camp coach at numerous collegiate camps.
Alex high school coaching includes:
- Forsyth Country Day School (2019)
- Walkertown High School, first coach starting the new program (2011-2013)
- McLean HS (McLean, VA), District Championships (2001)
- Stone Ridge HS (Bethesda, MD), Division Co-Champions (1995)
In addition, he has coached at a number of clubs teaching both boys and girls of all ages.
Alex is a USA Volleyball CAP Level II, Beach CAP Level 1, and NFHS certified coach. He is 1990 graduate of UNC Greensboro where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Design/Technology. In 2000 he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Technology from the University of Wisconsin- Madison.
